Raising of the Dead: In the years since 1980 Harvest Warriors have seen the dead raised to life through the Name, the Power & The Blood of Jesus Christ as believers stood strong, prayed in faith and saw that faith rewarded by God's Almighty hand. When their own son Matthew was about 11 months old he suffered a violent seizure and died. Glenys was all by herself with her mother and as she turned for help from those around her she was met only with an air of indifference. She continued to openly pray in the Spirit as she reminded God that Matthew meant “gift of God” and that indeed he was just that as Matthew had been adopted at birth. After more than 20 minutes of praying without panic or fear, Matthew was restored to life. Today, in 2010 he is a successful owner/operator of his own business, putting down statements that he would be a vegetable due to lack of oxygen to his brain. Mike often remarks, “there is nothing wrong with that young man as God has and always will have a hand in his life & upon him”.
In 1980 after a terrible head on car accident, Glenys' mother was left crushed and lifeless. All Glenys & Mike could do was pray for her and they did so praying in the Spirit. She had a broken arm, crushed ribs, crushed face and severe internal injuries. Mike could only describe what happened as it being like the death rattle in reverse as God breathed life into her fail little body. She was restored to life. She came out of hospital 5 weeks later walking & praising God and was baptised by full immersion on the following Sunday, receiving the Holy Spirit as she came up out of the water.
In 1990 on Palawan in the town of Bataraza (a Muslim stronghold) Mike shared the above testimony of both his son and his mother in law. The very next morning, young Pastor Mario came running to catch the team before they left to share of what had happened very early that morning in his own mountain village. When he arrived back after the meetings in Bataraza he was confronted by a woman wailing and holding her son who had died nearly 4 and a half hours before from measles. The father was digging the grave to bury his dead son. Pastor Mario took authority in Jesus name and declared, “The same Jesus that raises the dead in Australia is the same Jesus that will raise the dead here on Palawan”. He called for believers, real believers, that had faith to believe, to pray with him and shortly after the little boy was raised from the dead. That little boy is the one shown in the photo above with his mother and father.
A few days later when visiting the Brooke’s Point Hospital to take in badly needed medicines permission was also given by the head Doctor to pray for the sick. On entering one ward, a young girl had just been declared dead and the bed sheet was being pulled over her. Kirsten, Mike’s daughter, stepped up & shouted at the devil that this was not to be and everyone present started to pray in the Spirit – the young girl was restored to life.
Blindness: On many occasions the blind have been brought into the outreach meetings by relatives that they have sometimes never seen or have not seen for many years. God is a God of restoration and the scriptures in James 5:15 "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up........" tells us that as we pray in faith God delivers what He promises! Glenys had a woman earlier during one day that she prayed for in the Narra Muslim Market building who had bad eyesight and could not read the flyer announcing that night's outreach in the local stadium, she was healed instantly proclaiming that God was indeed great. She promised to come that night and bring a friend with her. That night she presented her fiend to Glenys, the woman's eyes were like cracked marbles. Glenys felt God to lead her to spit onto her fingers and place them onto the woman's eyes, just as in the Word, she hesitated thinking of all the people watching to see what God would do. Glenys obeyed God, spat on her fingers, placed them onto the woman's eyes, prayed in faith and the woman's eyesight was totally restored. There have been so many healings of blindness that even this website would not be big enough to share them all.
Deafness & Muteness: In every case of deafness/muteness, authority in prayer is taken over the spirit of deafness/muteness when people come forward to be healed of the problem they may have, on many occasions the healing is immediate, in others sometimes it takes longer, BUT IT DOES COME! In one outreach a young 16 year old deaf mute girl was accompanied by her neighbour who "signed" for her what was being said by Mike and one of the local Pastors. As Mike and the Pastor prayed for this young girl, Mike took authority in the Name, The Power and The Blood of Jesus, commanded that which was not of God to be bound and cast out - he then asked that the very first thing she would hear would be the praise & worship going on the stage area and that the very first thing that came out of her mouth would be the name of Jesus. GOD ANSWERED THAT PRAYER! She received her hearing immediately, and heard the youth group on stage singing a rendition of Darlene Zschech's "Shout to the Lord" and the first word that came out of her mouth was the name of Jesus as she shared with the great crowd of over 3000 people there that night about what God had just done for her!
Sicknesses & Diseases: Since 1996 Mike & Glenys and other team members that go with them have witnessed the healing power of God move mightily in people's lives to bring healing from all manner of sickness and disease. They have seen God heal people of AIDS, HEP C, cancer, goitres, malaria, skin disease, all degrees of burns and have seen broken bones healed instantly and arms and legs reform to how God designed them to be.
The testimony of Jocelyn: A woman named Jocelyn had been brought in on a door one night because there was no other way to transport her. She was in a very bad state with every joint on her body having festering puss laden holes where bone could be seen. The team LAID HANDS ON HER & PRAYED FOR HER, and afterwards she asked Mike to baptise her the next day. Early the next morning while preparing to go to the baptism, Mike decided to take half a dozen Bibles with them as he knew that the church she was in was small. As he gathered the Bibles he felt God telling him to take 3 boxes (almost 300 Bibles), he didn't question God, Mike just did it! After the baptism of Jocelyn she turned to her husband and said in Tagalog "Last night you made a promise to God and to me, will you still keep that promise?" He responded by asking Mike if the team would baptise both him and their 8 year old son, they did so and as they left the village the team again prayed for Jocelyn and her family and gave the Pastor the boxes of Bibles. 3 months later Mike received an email with just 3 words on it "Jocelyn is dead" - Mike was so upset he couldn't speak or even share the news he had received, he wasn't angry with God but upset because team members after their return were trying to raise funds to assist Jocelyn with medical costs etc. and he just didn't know how to break the news to them. As the day continued he prayed to God for wisdom and God put it upon his heart that Jocelyn's time on this earth was finished and now she would no longer suffer the physical pain or the taunts of those in the village where she lived. Mike shared with all the team members that night.
Almost 3 months later again to the day Mike received a long hand written letter from Jocelyn's Pastor informing Mike that a real miracle had taken place in the village after the death of Jocelyn . He had come out one morning to investigate all the noise and found the whole village sitting or kneeling in front of his hut. They asked him to ask God to forgive them, because it had taken 12 people to come from another nation to show the love of Christ by praying for and believing that Jocelyn would be healed. The fact that the team had actually TOUCHED Jocelyn by laying hands upon her ulcerous body had convicted them that particular baptism morning. They told the Pastor that many of them had known Jocelyn since she was born, but they wouldn't talk to her or touch her because they believed that she had come under an evil influence. Every one of those villagers, repented, and believed that Jesus was indeed the son of God and ALL got baptised. The other miracle was that everyone of those villagers received their own Bible printed in Tagalog (the 3 boxes were used! Praise God!)
GOD ALWAYS MAKES A WAY & A TIME FOR US! On the 29th Octobe 1999 both Mike & Glenys were asked to travel approximately 30 kilometres in a tricycle to visit & pray with a man by Pastor Camillo Villar (at that time in Quezon on Palawan). The man had been diagnosed with throat cancer, operated on and given only a few hours to live as he hadn't been able to eat for over 11 days. After arriving at their home which was surrounded by their friends and relatives waiting for him to die, Mike & Glenys were met by the man's wife who aplogised profusely for the smell coming from the wounds on the man's throat. Mike remarked later without humour that the man's throat looked like a large red & purple dahlia flower as it had been opened up and left that way for him to breathe. Glenys sat up on the bed with him with her arm around his shoulders. Everyone present began to pray & uphold the man in prayer and all could feel the presence of the Lord in that room. They led the man through a prayer of repentance and he received Jesus as his personal Lord & Saviour. Mike & Glenys spent almost 3 hours with the man, his relatives and his friends before returning to Quezon.
A month after returning to Australia, Pastor Camillo sent Mike a letter with the testimony of that man.
On that same night, the 29th October 1999 as the man laid upon his bed, 3 angels appeared at the foot of his bed, he & his wife both saw them very plainly & both thought that they had come to take him home. His wife attested that the angel in the middle then spoke and said "Your time is not yet, God has put a burden in your heart for your relatives and friends and God requires that you speak to them". Remember that his throat was opened up, how could he speak? When God requires something of us, He WILL ALWAYS MAKE A WAY! The man arose from his bed and spent the next week visiting everyone he could sharing the Gospel and the need to receive Jesus.
At the end of the 7 days as he laid upon his bed, the angels re-appeared, beckoned him and he went home to glory, peaceful and fulfilled knowing he did what God wanted. Many souls were added to that local church under Pastor Camillo because of that one testimony.
How can Mike & Glenys remember so clearly the date, and that event? Because the 29th Octobter is Glenys' birthday - one that she will never forget! That man's testimony was affirmed by Pastor Camillo who continues to minister to the people on Palawan even unto this day (2010)
